Barcelona want Chelsea keeper Thibaut Courtois who is currently on loan at fellow Spanish club Atletico Madrid.
Courtois, considered one of Europe’s top keepers, cost Chelsea £8million from Genk in the summer of 2011. He signed for five years but was immediately loaned out to Atletico to replace David de Gea.
The original idea was to remain with the Spaniards until June 2013 but recently Chelsea expressed interest in bringing him home a year early.
Now it seems the Blues must decide just how valuable he is to them. But Courtois is unwilling to go back to Chelsea as he will need to wait for Cech to leave or retire. This would also be the same situation at the Catalan club.
Barcelona will continue to push for his signature as they seek a replacement for Victor Valdes.
