Liverpool Prepare Swap Deal for Alcacer

English Premier League club Liverpool are believed to be considering a swap deal with Valencia for their young star striker Paco Alcacer with Iago Aspas plus money going in the other direction.

The former Celta forward has never really been a fixture in the title contenders side with the 26 year-old making just 5 starts in the league all season with Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez occupying the main role in the team each week.

Now after just one season, it seems that Aspas will be let go. And they want to take advantage of Valancia's former interest in the striker to whom the Reds beat to sign last summer in the 7 million pound move They are believed to be contemplating a money plus Aspas offer to take the talented young gun Paco Alcacer.

The Merseyside made their interest concrete as they went to watch the Spaniard last Thursday where Valencia took on FC Basel in Switzerland in the first leg of the Europa League quarter finals.

Alcacer, 20, has been a bright spark for Los Che this season who sit in a lowly 8th spot with 11 goals and 3 assists in 29 appearances in all competitions.

Liverpool Target Young Boys Striker Michael Frey

English Premier League leaders Liverpool are looking towards next season with the club looking to tie up Young Boys striker Michael Frey.

The 19 year-old has been a revelation in the Swiss league with the Under-21 international bagging six goals and seven assists in 25 league appearances.

This hasn't gone unnoticed either with the Reds scouting him on up to four different occasions since January according to the Daily Star, but they will have to act soon in order to sign him with both Juventus and Borussia Monchengladbach showing interest as well.

The 5 million pound rated striker is believed to be ready to face the challenges of the EPL according to the Merseyside club despite his tender age.

Liverpool find themselves sitting in a very good position with the title in their grasp as long as they can keep Manchester City and Chelsea behind them.

Arsenal, Liverpool, Roma After Hamburg Star Calhanoglu

Arsenal, Roma, Liverpool and Galatasaray are all in the race to sign Turkish international Hakan Calhanoglu who could leave Hamburg due to relegation.

With just six games left, Hamburg find themselves sitting in 17th spot which in other terms would mean that if they finished the season they would drop down to the 2nd tier of German football.

If this remained the same, surely some of the likes of Calhanoglu, Adler, Tah, Jansen, Badelj, Van der Vaart and also Lasogga could all be finding a new home.

The 20 year old has been probably the standout in a poor campaign for his club with eight goals and three assists in 26 Bundesliga appearances.

With a German passport in hand, Roma would not have to use up a non-euro allocated spot which could mean that they will fight harder for the attacking midfielder as they look to bolster their list for Champions League next season.

Calhanoglu is valued at around 8.5 million euros which would surely be a price tag which would interest several more large European clubs.

Transfer News: Liverpool FC Line Up Antonio Cassano as Suarez Replacement

Liverpool FC are interested in a move for Inter Milan striker and Italian international Antonio Cassano but only if Luis Suarez leaves for Bayern Munich or any other top European club.
The Bundesliga leaders have been repeatedly linked with Suarez and Pep Guardiola, who takes charge of the Bavarians at the end of the season, is keen to have him in board.

Italy international Cassano could be available after allegedly having a training ground bust-up with manager Andrea Stramaccioni. The 30 year old only made the switch from AC Milan just months ago and could already be on his way out.

Cassano was dropped for this weekend’s 3-2 win at Catania although he could be recalled for Thursday’s Europa League match with Tottenham at White Hart Lane.

Sources in Italy say Liverpool are interested although they will try everything in their powers to keep Suarez at Anfield.

If he is to be sold, however, the Merseysiders will expect to make a comfortable profit on the £22million they paid Ajax for his goalscoring prowess in January 2011.

He has scored six goals in his last three games and his hat-trick at Wigan on Saturday has taken his tally this term to 28.

Liverpool Transfer News: Reds Plot Manuel Iturra Move

Brendan Rodgers is interested in a possible move for Malaga midfielder and Chile international Manuel Iturra who is available on a free transfer this summer.

Iturra is out of contract at Malaga in June and is free to talk to teams about his future despite the Spanish club opening negotiations over a new deal.

The 28-year-old is a firm fixture in Manuel Pellegrini's side and has made 17 appearances in all competitions this season.

Malaga are in a precarious financial position and have already lost key players to the Premier League this season, with Santi Cazorla and Nacho Monreal both signing for Arsenal.

Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is believed to be keen on Iturra's mix of defensive nous and ability in possession and will continue to monitor the midfielder's availability.

Transfer News: Liverpool Target Hatem Ben Arfa in Carroll Swap Deal

Liverpool are interested in Newcastle United and France international midfielder Hatem Ben Arfa who could become part of Brendan Rodgers revolution at Anfield.
Players such as Daniel Sturridge, Coutinho, Joe Allen and Fabio Borini have already been purchased under the former Swansea manager.

The 13 time international, 25, could be targeted as part of a swap deal that would see Andy Carroll return to St James’ Park.

Ben Arfa has not featured for Newcastle since December 10 because of a hamstring injury.

He has long been admired by Rodgers even though he represents a slightly older purchase than many Anfield transfer targets.

Ben Arfa didn't push for a Newcastle exit during the transfer window but his loyalty to the club is likely to be severely tested in the summer. He will certainly have plenty of people to prevent him feeling homesick, as Alan Pardew bought six French-speaking players during the transfer window.

Nonetheless, Ben Arfa has previously stated a desire to play for the rich, Qatari-backed club Paris Saint-Germain.

Carroll has been on loan at West Ham after the £35million signing found it hard to make a mark at Anfield.

He has scored twice in 12 appearances for the Hammers so far, the latest coming on Saturday when he headed the winner against Swansea having returned the side following a two-month injury lay-off.

Transfer News: Arsenal & Liverpool Offered Barcelona's Isaac Cuenca

Arsenal and Liverpool have been given the chance to sign Barcelona starlet Isaac Cuenca on loan for the rest of the season after recently returning from injury.
The exciting 21-year-old has spent the past eight months sidelined with a knee problem.

And although Cuenca has now been given the all-clear by Barca's doctors, the club are keen for him to move away from the Nou Camp on a short-term deal in order to regain his match fitness.

Catalan boss Tito Vilanova is well-stocked up front, with Lionel Messi, Pedro, Alexis Sanchez and Cristian Tello already on the books. That means Cuenca is unlikely to be used by the La Liga leaders for the rest of the season.

According to Spanish newspaper Marca, club chiefs are eager to ship out Cuenca before the transfer window ends next week.

Both Arsenal and Liverpool have previously been linked with a move for the Spanish youth international, with Brendan Rodgers and Arsene Wenger similarly desperate to bring in extra bodies this month.

Arsenal have already tried to land Cuenca's team-mate David Villa this month, while Liverpool could turn to the Barca youngster if they miss out on Inter Milan's Philippe Coutinho.

Cuenca was given the opportunity to shine last season at Barcelona and excelled being given a total of 30 appearances in all competitions and scoring 4 goals.
