Barcelona's Daniel Alves and Victor Valdes also are set to leave La Liga with the duo on their last legs at the Catalans. Although they would only be playing for a couple years longer, they would still provide vast experience for the newly promoted side.

There is also talk of a Premier League trio joining the French ranks with former Manchester United teammates Park Ji Sung, Carlos Tevez and Patrice Evra all linked with a move there.

The QPR star has been limited to a handful of appearances after being struck down with a leg injury but one last shot at a highly competitive French League may be enough to tempt him.

Transfer News: Carlos Tevez Leaving Man City for Monaco

French cash giants Monaco are reportedly closing in on Man City star and Argentine international Carlos Tevez as they look to life in Ligue One next season.
The 29-year-old, who fired in an FA Cup hat-trick in City’s 5-0 win against Barnsley yesterday, will only have one year to run on his lucrative Etihad contract in the summer is unlikely to sign another one at City.

It’s believed it would suit both parties if the former West Ham and Manchester United star moved on at the end of the season.

At times it’s been a rough ride for the Argentinian at City, missing a large chunk of last season after a bust-up with manager Roberto Mancini and arrested last week on suspicion of driving while disqualified.

But the striker has become increasingly frustrated at not getting a consistent run in the first team.

And the German champs believe the Bosnian will jump at the chance to join Dortmund where he will be the main man.

The 26-year-old joined City in a £27million switch from Wolfsburg two years ago.

He has 16 goals in all competitions this season but he is facing fierce competition from Carlos Tevez and Sergio Aguero for a starting place.

Dortmund want Dzeko as a possible replacement for Robert Lewandowski who is expected to leave in the summer to join Bayern Munich.

The German giants would prefer to sell Lewandowski to Manchester United but the Polish international seems to favour a move to Bayern.

Transfer News: Chelsea, Man City Target Mauro Icardi

Chelsea and Manchester City are two of several clubs interested in Sampdoria starlet Mauro Icardi who scored at the weekend watched by Manchester City scouts in the 3-1 win over AS Roma.
The former Barcelona youth player has been in hot form this season for the Sampdoria, most notably having played a game winning role in wins over Juventus and Pescara.

It’s led to clubs from across Europe showing an interest, according to reports in Italy, with Juventus, Napoli, Inter Milan, Roma, Chelsea and Manchester City all keen on Icardi.

Indeed, the Italian paper claims both the Blues and Citizens have sent scouts to ‘spy’ on the talented teenager, whose current €10million value is set to increase in the coming months at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris.

Chelsea interim manager Rafa Benitez strengthened his attack during the January transfer window, with Demba Ba moving to Stamford Bridge from Premier League rivals Newcastle.

However, the Senegalese international is one of only two senior strikers available to the Blues boss, with mis-firing Fernando Torres the other option.

Icardi would continue the club’s more recent policy of bringing young players to west London, and would also add to a growing South American contingent within the Chelsea camp.

Manchester City, meanwhile, let a striker go in January, with Mario Balotelli departing the Etihad Stadium for AC Milan.

Transfer News: Man City Making £7m Move For Nacer Chadli | Mancini Lining Up Twente Star

Manchester City are interested in making a late £7million swoop for FC Twente winger Nacer Chadli but will not go any higher than the proposed offer.
City boss Roberto Mancini is yet to add to his squad this month but a deal for Chadli is on the cards, with the Italian said to be keen on injecting some more attacking impetuous into his side.

The Belgian flyer has long been considered one of the best talents operating in Dutch football, and Twente are known to have turned down a plethora of offers for the player, including previous bids from the likes of Newcastle, Everton and Fulham who have been monitoring the 23 year old closely.

However, Chadli could finally be set to earn that dream Premier League switch, with Mancini mulling over throwing in a £7million offer.

It’s not yet known if that would be enough to convince Twente to sell, especially after they raked in extra cash by flogging Leroy Fer to Everton, but the player’s desire to force the switch could be decisive.

If City could pull off the deal, it would allow out-of-favour Scott Sinclair to leave on-loan, with Sunderland and former club Swansea both expressing an interest to bring him in.

The Belgian international has made 28 appearances in all competitions for Twente and scored a very healthy total of 13 goals and has gathered 8 assists as well.

Transfer News: Inter Milan Weigh up a £25m Move For Edin Dzeko | Italians Also Want Remy and Damiao

Inter Milan are interested in bringing in Manchetser City striker Edin Dzeko as the Italian side look to bring in more firepower with Loic Remy and Leandro Damiao also attracting the Nerazzurri's attention
Inter Milan Target Edin Dzeko
Both Damiao and Remy are wanted in England with Newcastle maintaining interest in Remy and Tottenham hopeful of signing Brazil international Damiao at the third attempt for bid of around £15million.

City are reluctant to sell Dzeko without finding a replacement first. Edinson Cavani at Napoli is one target but the Italians' excessive valuation of £50million is proving prohibitive.

City assistant coach Angelo Gregucci has confirmed admiration for Cavani adding: 'I don’t know if the club will lay siege to Napoli for Cavani, but every club with a player of the highest level will know they’ll be courted by bigger clubs.

'Mancini decides the transfer targets along with the new directors. If you ask the clubs who can afford Cavani, for example Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Manchester United, then I think they’d want Cavani just as Manchester City want him. If he should want to undertake a new adventure, then he will tell the club and I expect they’d let him go.'

He added: 'Cavani is among the world’s top five strikers and is doing great things. Napoli invested heavily in him, but the player's intentions are decisive.'

Cavani recently scored a hat-trick in the important 4-1 win over AS Roma over the weekend.
