Transfer Rumors: Manchester United Line Up Alex Sandro as Evra Replacement

Manchester United are looking to life beyond Patrice Evra, having lined up Porto star and Brazilian international Alex Sandro as a replacement for the Frenchman.
Manchester United Target Alex Sandro
Evra has just a year left on his contract at Old Trafford, with reports linking him with a move to PSG.

And although the Frenchman has denied interest in a return to his home country, United are thought to have begun to look to the future.

At times this season and last season, Evra has had very shaky form at times and they could be tempted to offload him to PSG and bring in fresh blood.

Although Dutch youngster Alex Buttner has impressed since joining in the summer, United are reportedly still keen to bring in another left-sided defender as cover.

According to Portuguese newspaper A Bola, 21-year-old Sandro has emerged as one target for the Red Devils.

The Brazil international is typical Brazilian full-back and like others before him is beginning to make that spot his own.

Sandro joined FC Porto for around £8million two years ago from Santos.

United might be keen to land the former Santos star in a joint deal with team-mate James Rodriguez, who has also caught boss Sir Alex Ferguson's eye.
