Transfer News: AS Roma Want Martin Caceres From Juventus | Roma Ready January Bid

AS Roma are reportedly readying a January bid for Juventus and Uruguayan International right back Martin Caceres according to the Il Corriere dello Sport.

AS Roma Target Martin Caceres Left
The Giallorossi are still short of options at the back and they believe the Uruguayan would be a great addition to the squad. The Roman side have only got one recognized right back in Ivan Piris and would want one more to help keep legs fresh.

Juventus are not too keen on letting the defender leave Turin, but they could change their minds if Roma offer Marco Borriello in return to sweeten the deal.

Antonio Conte is prepared to take the Italy international back to Juventus Arena, providing the Bianconeri again fail to sign a world-class centre forward.

Borriello is currently on loan at Genoa, but he can be recalled by Roma and sent straight to Juventus on another short-term deal. Borriello has made just 12 appearances but has scored 5 goals during his loan spell.

That would probably see Martin Caceres arrive at Stadio Olimpico, with the Uruguayan desperate to leave in search of first team football.

Caceres, 25, has made just 8 Serie A appearances this season and is very unhappy with his status at the club.He is also capable of playing in any position of the back four which makes him even more valuable.
