Transfer News: Newcastle Utd's Yoan Gouffran Bid Rejected | Lens and Aubameyang on Newcastle Radar

Newcastle United has had a €750,000  bid turned down for Bordeaux striker Yoan Gouffran as Pardew seeks a replacement for new Chelsea recruit Demba Ba.
Bordeaux have rejected a bid from Newcastle for their striker Yoan Gouffran, according to reports in France.

Newcastle, who are still searching for a replacement for Demba Ba after his move to Chelsea earlier in January, are believed to have offered €750,000 (£629,000) to the Ligue 1 side for the 26-year-old who has six months remaining on his contract in France.

However, Sud Ouest and L'Equipe have both reported that Bordeaux have turned down the offer as they have put a price tag of €1m on the former France Under-21 international.

Newcastle also had Loic Remy lined up but a move was hijacked at the last gasp with QPR taking the French international instead.

The Toon are also interested in PSV Eindhoven's striker Jeremain Lens and also Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from St.Etienne.

Lens has been capped 8 times by the Dutch national team and would be a great addition if he was to join.
