Transfer News: Manchester United Want Galatasaray's Burak Yilmaz

Manchester United are interested in Galatasaray goal machine and Turkish international Burak Yilmaz, according to reports in Turkey.
The 27-year-old has hit 12 goals in 18 top-flight appearances since moving to Galatasaray in the summer, as well as seven in seven appearances in the Champions League.

One of those came against United when the sides met in Group H back in November, when Yilmaz hit the only goal of the game in Istanbul.

Sir Alex Ferguson was impressed with the forward in that outing and it has now been claimed that United are monitoring his progress ahead of the summer.

Because of his red-hot form, Gala are bracing themselves for bids at the end of the season and one could come from United, as well as Liverpool, who are also interested. Other clubs in the other top European league are also interested in the forward.

The Turkish champions paid Trabzonspor just £4m in July and it is understood they would be willing to sell for around £10m, which will not put the two Premier League sides off.
