Transfer News: Carlos Tevez Leaving Man City for Monaco

French cash giants Monaco are reportedly closing in on Man City star and Argentine international Carlos Tevez as they look to life in Ligue One next season.
The 29-year-old, who fired in an FA Cup hat-trick in City’s 5-0 win against Barnsley yesterday, will only have one year to run on his lucrative Etihad contract in the summer is unlikely to sign another one at City.

It’s believed it would suit both parties if the former West Ham and Manchester United star moved on at the end of the season.

At times it’s been a rough ride for the Argentinian at City, missing a large chunk of last season after a bust-up with manager Roberto Mancini and arrested last week on suspicion of driving while disqualified.

Now Monaco, who are desperate to recapture their glory years after dropping into the French second division, want Tevez to spearhead their first term back in the big time.

And they are ready to pay City a fee of around £15million.
