Transfer News: Catania's Alejandro Gomez Nearing Atletico Move

Catania's Alejandro Gomez is poised for a Spanish move where Madrid giants Atletico Madrid are closing in on a deal for the 25 year old Argentine.

The winger has been a great sensation for the side from Sicily, notching over 100 appearances since joining. The former San Lorenzo player in now on verge of a move to Atletico de Madrid advanced negotiations being held at the moment.

"The negotiations with Atletico Madrid are very advanced, we have some serious bids. I think Gomez will go there," said Pulvirenti.

 "How we'll replace Gomez? We have [Lucas] Castro and we have already taken [Sebastian] Leto.

 "We will also continue to work in Argentina where there are many players that familiarise themselves very well in Serie A."
