Manchester City Make Alvaro Negredo Number One Target

New Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini has made Sevilla striker Alvaro Negredo his number one transfer target to replace Carlos Tevez who left for Juventus.

Pellegrini wants to begin his reign as coach with the signing of Spanish hit-man Alvaro Negredo with Manchester City already securing the signatures of Fernandinho and also Jesus Navas who is also from Sevilla.

But they will face some stiff competition from the likes of Tottenham and Atletico Madrid with the latter in talks to be a replacement for new Monaco recruit Radamel Falcao.

Sevilla who will most likely let the 27 year-old leave due to some financial woes only want him to leave for the price of his release clause which is £18million.

Negredo scored 25 goals in the La Liga this season including two braces, one hat trick and also a bag of four against Valencia on the last match-day of the season.
