Roma Secure the Signing of Brazil Full Back Abner

Italian fliers AS Roma have reportedly secured the signing of promising left-back Abner who is set to make the move for a fee of 5 million euros.

The deal was confirmed by FIFA agent Matthew Materazzi who had this to say. "I had the mandate of Genoa to buy Coritiba's Abner, but Sabatini has already clinched the player and finalised the deal with the club on the basis of 5 million euros for 60% of the player's rights."

The 17 year-old will be a valuable addition to the club as they are struggling for depth in the full-backs department but he will not join the club until January or next summer.

Abner has taken part in Brazil's world cup challenge in the Under-17's category with three appearances and an assist to his name during the tournament.
