Transfer News: Arsenal to Swoop for Real Madrid's Kaka | Wenger to Make Move For Star

Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger is interested in making a swoop for unwanted Brazil and Real Madrid midfielder Kaka who is out of favour at the Bernabeu.

The Real Madrid management are reportedly ready to release the midfielder on a free transfer after getting fed up with the player’s poor performances, according to El Economista.

Kaka’s sending off at the weekend in the game against Osasuna was the last straw for the Spanish giants, and they look set to cut their losses and release the player who was once widely considered as amongst the best in the world.

That has put Arsenal on alert, with Gunners boss Arsene Wenger keen to make a big signing in order to placate disgruntled Arsenal fans.

While Arsenal are already well stocked in the attacking midfield position, with Santi Cazorla’s performances arguably making him one of the signings of the season, it is understood the Arsenal management are keen to bring in a player of the calibre of the former AC Milan star.

Kaka’s wages may prove a stumbling block, but Arsenal are keen to flex some financial muscle following years of restrained spending while they built their current home, the Emirates Stadium. The player’s high salary is also likely to be offset by the fact the player will be available without the club having to pay what would have otherwise been a huge transfer fee.
