Tottenham Hotspurs Target Younes Belhanda
Morocco international Belhanda has reportedly opted to quit Montpellier this month after they failed to progress into the knockout stages of the Champions League, and there have been no shortage of interested parties.

Arsenal, Liverpool and Inter Milan are among those known to be keen on Belhanda, but it’s Fenerbache and Tottenham who lead the race, after opening talks over a deal.

According to L’Equipe, the 22-year-old has spent the last few days in negotiations with Fenerbache over a contract, but that move has now collapsed, opening the door to Spurs.

Andre Villas-Boas is said to be keen to push through the transfer as soon as possible, but Fenerbache chairman Abdullah Kigili has warned them that Montpellier won’t sell cheap.

‘The current price being quoted is far too high,’ said Kigili.

‘We have put our efforts to sign Younes Belhanda on hold – the asking price for Belhanda has risen to an astronomical level’.

Tottenham’s move for Belhanda – a quick silver play-maker who can play on the wing – comes just days after they agreed a pre-contract move for Lewis Holtby, with the club seemingly desperate to add to their creative options.

Younes Belhanda who has scored 8 goals from 24 appearances is a smart play-maker could be added to January signing Lewis Holtby after they the Spurs agreed to a pre-contract move days ago.
