New Manchester City coach Manuel Pellegrini wants to take former Porto star and Real Madrid central defender Pepe across to England with himself to begin a new era at Eastlands.
The 30 year old could be willing to move with the current Malaga coach with the Portuguese international falling behind in the pecking order with French youngster Raphael Varane jumping ahead to be the favoured option along with Sergio Ramos.
Pepe will not make a decision about his future until their new coach has been brought in with Carlo Ancelotti a probability. Others such as Angel Di Maria, Gonzalo Higuain and Kaka will be in the same boat at the defender as well with their Real Madrid futures hanging in the air.
