Bayer Leverkusen Joins the Belhanda Race

German side Bayer Leverkusen have joined the race to sign highly rated Moroccan international Younes Belhanda who is set to leave the French 2011-12 champions Montpellier in the Summer.

The talented midfielder who bagged 12 goals and 6 assists during this season has been linked to moves with a host of clubs including: Tottenham, Arsenal, Aston Villa, Inter Milan, AC Milan and Atletico Madrid.

Now it seems Leverkusen are all set to join the race and could jump ahead of some teams in the queue purely because of the fact that the 23 year old wants to play in either Germany or England and play Champions League football once more.

That only leaves AC Milan, Atletico, Arsenal and Bayer Levekusen. in the hunt theoretically but if a bigger money offer came from one of the lesser sides, it could still be enough.

Bayer Leverkusen was striving to get Kevin De Bruyne from Chelsea as a replacement for Andre Schurrle but with that move now out of the question Belhanda is the prime alternative.
