Arsenal are linked to Paraguayan international Lorenzo Melgarejo who has broken through the Benfica side this season under Jorge Jesus according to skysports.
The left-back has been in some impressive form since moving back down the pitch from a midfield role where he has 40 appearances in all competitions, scoring 2 goals and 5 assists.
The Benfica player is valued at £5million and this price would easily be made with Arsenal unveiling a mega war chest that they are to spend on the Summer market.
One aspect of this rumour however that may prove to be a dilemma is that the Gunners already have two credible left-backs in the form of Keiran Gibbs and former Malaga player Nacho Monreal who joined in January.
