Rayo Vallecano Striker Leo Baptistao Signs for Atletico Madrid

Atletico de Madrid have reached an agreement for the signing of promising Brazilian striker and former Rayo Vallecano player Leo Baptistao.

The 20-year old has penned a 5-year contract and will join the Copa Del Rey champions on July 1 when the transfer window opens but for the moment the transfer fee will remain disclosed.

Baptistao has been in some impressive form scoring 7 goals and assisting a further 7 goals before being hampered by injury in the final 6 games of the season.

It's just one of the many reinforcements that Atletico are expected to make after qualifying for the Champions League after losing Radamel Falcao to AS Monaco for a substantial fee.

And Baptistao isn't the first signing either with young Uruguayan defender Jose Maria Gimenez who is also another promising young player like Baptistao.
