Tottenham Ready Bid For Valencia Star Roberto Soldado

Tottenham Hotspur are believed to be preparing a major bid for Valencia striker and Spanish international player Roberto Soldado according to the daily mail.

After trying to sign the forward in the last transfer window, Soldado maybe easier to capture this time because Valencia are now a bit tighter for money having not qualified for next season's Champions League after Real Sociedad overtook the Mestalla outfit on the last match-day.

Tottenham's chairman Daniel Levy is now prepared to break the transfer record in a bid to land Soldado with an offer of around £20million on the cards with the previous record Luka Modric's transfer from Dinamo Zagreb for around £17million in 2008.

Soldado has continued his magnificent form of recent years with 31 goals this season in all competitions and has been rewarded with a spot on the list for Spain's upcoming confederations cup campaign in Brazil.

In other Tottenham news, the Spurs are also eyeing Brazil striker Leandro Damiao and FC Barcelona's David Villa as other forward targets for the upcoming transfer window.
