AS Monaco Set to Sign Atletico's Arda Turan

French Ligue One club AS Monaco look set to beat the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool to the signing of Turkish international and Atletico de Madrid midfielder Arda Turan.

The newly promoted side want to add the talented Turan to their list of players which already have the likes of James Rodriguez, Radamel Falcao, Jeremy Toulalan and Joao Moutinho on their books.

It is believed that Monaco have made an official bid for the 26 year-old with the bid in the region of around 17 million euros.

This may also be the reason why the Spanish club have been chasing the signature of Tottenham target Miralem Pjanic who could be lined up as a replacement for their star player.

But this move seems unlikely as Monaco are not in the Champions League unlike Atletico but that did not stop Falcao.

The most expensive Turkish player ever made 46 appearances for the team who placed third in La Liga with 5 goals and also 10 assists to his name.
