Napoli Interested in Benfica Defender Ezequiel Garay

Napoli coach Rafael Benitez seems set to continue the Summer spending with a move for Benfica's star defender Ezequiel Garay on the cards.

The Serie A side may have lost Edinson Cavani but they have made the acquisitions of Jose Callejon, Dries Mertens, Gonzalo Higuain, Raffael and also Raul Albiol to compensate.

But since most of those moves have been focused purely on the attacking side of things, they are now turning to their defensive aspect of the game with Garay linked to the Naples club.

The Argentine international is only half owned by the Portuguese club with the other half owned by Real Madrid, so they wont let their man go for any less than 20 million euros which is the release clause.

The 26 year-old has made 14 appearances for the national side and also has amassed 86 appearances for the Lisbon side since joining in 2011.
