Napoli boss Rafael Benitez is looking for a new full-back to help their Serie A title credentials and wants to make a move to sign Spanish international Cesar Azpilicueta in January.
The former Chelsea interim manager liked what he saw during his short tenure at the London club and now he wants to bring the 24 year-old to Italy.
Azpilicueta also may be approving of the move as he wants regular playing time to prove that he's worth a place in the Spanish squad for the World Cup next year in Brazil.
So far, life under Mourinho has been pretty tough with the former Marseille man making just the three Premier League appearances.
The Napoli side are also keen on Bacary Sagna who has a contract expiring at the end of the season and also French veteran Anthony Reveillere who is currently a free agent after leaving Lyon in June.
