AC Milan are interested in signing 20 year-old central defender Doria who could in fact be Clarance Seedorf's first purchase should he succeed Allegri in the summer as the manager for his former club.
The club from Brazil have a price tag of around 9 million euros on the starlet and Milan should have no trouble in paying a price like that if they are able to get rid of some fringe players.
But they will face competition from some of Europe's largest clubs with Juventus and Barcelona also showing some interest in Doria.
This move however could be dependent on the Brazilian side reaching the Copa Liberatdore's as they sit in 5th spot at the moment with one match to go with the reliance on other fixtures to have a hope of qualification.
If they do indeed fail, Seedorf and Doria could cut their stay with Botafogo and become a manager and a player of Milan.
