Wesley Sneijder has had trouble with Inter over the last few months over contract negotiations and this had led to him missing out on a lot of playing time. The Dutch international looks to be on his way out with Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United looming come January.

Inter could now look to Honda as a replacement according to Portuguese newspaper A Bola with Javier Pastore in mind as well. The 26 year old Japan international has been in excellent form this season for the Moscow club, scoring 8 goals and making 4 assists.

The former VVV Venlo man has already been linked to an Italian switch with Lazio heavily rumored to be in the market for Honda last season. Liverpool are now also interested in Honda over the past couple of weeks too.

Inter Milan however could have the edge over the Reds as they already have some Japanese blood on the team in the form of Yuto Nagatomo. He could help persuade Honda to come to Italy.

Keisuke Honda is valued at €15 million and his contract ends in 2014.
