Chelsea defensive midfielder John Obi Mikel is nearing a Chelsea exit with a move to Galatasaray looking a very imminent possibility.
It is believed that new coach Jose Mourinho does not have the Nigerian international in his plans for next season and would prefer to bring in the likes of either Sami Khedira or Claudio Marchisio.
The 26-year old is close to agreeing a 4-year deal with the club for a fee of around £13million but Chelsea want to get £16million for him which is the amount which they paid to acquire him.
This means that he will most likely be able to link up with former Chelsea teammate Didier Drogba who left his Chinese club to join the Turkish side.
Mikel made just 22 appearances in the Premier League this season due to the African Cup of Nations and suspension.
